Do you refer to lens corrections?

If it was field curvature, CDAF would show the same results as PDAF.

Will it? Not sure ...

PDAF module and the submirror are plane so all lens problems a mirrored 1:1 to the result whereas CDAF is a mathematical calculation (contrast optimization) on the sensor after the image processor (where lens problems are/can be corrected in post processing).

Lens correction regarding distortion, vignetting and chromatic aberrations should not, in general, affect the focusing distance obtained by the contrast-based focusing in liveview. Moreover, the shape of the plane of focus will be completely unaffected by these corrections.

It is true that, in contrast to the LVAF feed, the PDAF sensors get no benefit from the image-enhancing processing, but I seriously doubt it makes any difference to the AF performance in liveview.

If anyone has tested whether turning on lens corrections affects LVAF accuracy and found evidence of this, it would be extremely interesting to see the results.
