Sony A57-weird ghosting/haze in a series of shots

I am new to the A57...got it in December..really started taking more pics after my son was born last week. I have the kit lens and the Sony 1.8
I was reviewing a series of photos in Lightroom and saw something strange in a series of photos I took earlier in the week. It is a picture of my wife's best friend and she is holding my son.In every single photo I took of her there is some kind of weird purple/ghosting highlights. I was shooting in A mode with Auto Iso. I have taken a ton of photos afterwards and none of them have exhibited any kind of problems-actually just pe
rfect. Any idea what may have caused this?
