Nikon responds- "rapid deterioration in the market occurred and fiercer competition"

a fix.  When it came back with a dirty viewfinder, I immediately boxed it up and returned it.  My bad; I should have at least taken a few pictures to test the autofocus.  After the second calibration, the top center autofocus wouldn't focus accurately.  It went back again and I think that they got it right this time.  I just take pictures so if I don't encounter a problem I don't get the focusing charts out to look for one.  Now that it is fixed, I really like the camera.
