That, by the way, is a wonderful source. But field curvature is completely irrelevant if the AF test is done properly. See the link below, for a brief explanation.

There's another thread where the issue was discussed in more detail, but I can't find it at the moment. The main point is that the AF accuracy should be judged from the exact spot or object where the focusing was attempted. Field curvature potentially affects all the other areas of the scene, but not the spot where focus was attempted.
