Add the deceiving & devalueing pricing of the "1" series
In reply to Arretose, 3 months ago

At its launch the "1" series was hopelessly overpriced. Later Nikon recognized its mistake and grossly reduced the price. That spurred sales numbers by a large amount. But the downside is ... nobody buys the V2. Why would one ? All prospective buyers are waiting for the big price crunch.

Regarding DX vs FX : The complete omission of a serious D300s successor is pure stupidity. Nikon is going all-in on the FX line therefore kidding customers that are heavily invested in DX glass. That is even more surprising since the D600 body is inferior compared to the D300s body. Laughable & ridiculous considering that the D600 is a 2012 design while the D300s is a 2007 design. Argh.

Regarding D800 pricing : The mere fact that there is still a considerable price difference between Canon 5DIII and Nikon D800 tells that Nikon lost its self-confidence. While not directly interchangeable both bodies play in the same league giving no reason for any price difference at all.

Nikon made so many mistakes in 2012 that it's hard to belief that this company is run by serious CEOs. Even a bunch of business school graduates couldn't have made worse decisions. I wish Nikon the very best for 2013 and "beg" for wiser decisions.
