I don't know why people are so nervous about a little snow and cold. I have skied 100's of days with DSLR's since my first Canon D30 (2001). Everything from a 5D MkII, through a GF1, GH1, OM-D, XZ-1, Fuji X100... I've shot in 0 degree (F) blizzards, sleet storms, etc. and never had ANY issues with weather sealing, inoperability or damage to the cameras. I keep the body under my ski parka until I want to shoot and remove my right glove completely. (Sometimes I keep a light glove liner on). Yeah, my hands get a little cold sometimes, but it's not that big a deal, and camera's are much tougher than people think. I keep a handkerchief in my pocket and wipe down the lens and body if it gets a little moisture on it. Done. Shooting at the beach probably causes a LOT more damage to a camera due to the salt spray. (Though I've done plenty of that as well!)
