Converting G1 to IR Part 2

I successfully converted my G1 to full spectrum by removing the IR blocking filter and replacing it with a clean neutral glass. I am using a 780nm lens IR filter to control the IR spectrum. So far is working as it should. But giving the possibilities of a full spectrum sensor I would like to have a better control, like taking color photographs but enhancing the warm zones to be lighter (whiter). If I buy a weaker lens IR filter (for example 680nm or weaker) can I do that?
