Not much for me to shoot this past week. I did a short walk into a local National Park. There were plenty of small birds but they kept in the shadows beyond the ISO reach of my E-5. I know where to go now and next time I'll take the FL50 flash (waiting for that E-7 Olympus !)

I think this one is a Yellow-rumped Thornbill.

A very tight crop shot with the E-5 and ZD300mm hand held.

And here are a few shots of a Black-faced Cuckoo Shrike taken on the same walk again with the
E-5, ZD300mm This guy was up higher in trees and I caught him in the sun

And finally a shot of a Rainbow Lorikeet nectar feeding in my front yard.
It was early evening on an overcast day - quite poor light.

Taken with the Canon 5D3 using OM Zuiko 300mm stopped to F/8 + 1.4X-A, giving 400mm F/11. Shot hand-held in M-mode and Auto ISO. I selected 1/1600 sec and the camera chose ISO12800.
PP in LR4
