Another X-E1 Canon 5D MKIII comparison (studio)

Today I did a TF shoot with a model in her late 30's, a model I had worked with before. This was a special shoot since she had had a double mastectomy a few months before and she wanted some nudes to document the progress of her reconstruction.
Since I was not being paid, I decided this was an excellent chance to put my XE-1 through its paces. Since I had the 18-55 mm lens on the Fuji I loaded a 70-200 f4L (old model) on my 5D MKIII.
In terms of IQ, the Fuji was fine, although at 100% the 5D MKIII clearly outperformed the the Fuji. This is with no sharpening applied. ISO 200 was used throught. I am not sure if the difference would be visible in any sort of reasonable sized print.
The real difference was that the autofocusing on the Fuji was painfully slow, even though I had loaded the latest firmware updates. Ths light was not the greatest, mainly the modeling lights. Focusing on the eyes seemed OK although slow. However, I could not get the camera to focus on the abundant scar tissue. I was convinced after this experience that the X-E1 is not well-suited for the kinds of stuio shots I do.
At some point in the next few days, I will post the images on my pbase site
