Subtle color differences

First and foremost, the rendering of colours is different. Even in jpeg form, the X-Trans is able to detect differences in tones that the other sensors have difficulty to deal with. All the shots I made of foliage, when the season was friendly to this activity, made the images I shot with other sensors look metallic green and artificial in comparison.

Funny that you say that. But this has always been said about the serious Fuji cameras (their DSLR previously) and I believe that it is part of the superior know- how that Fuji has in terms of colour. One other area are skin tones. I made photos of my daughter in bad light, at ISO2000-3200, but yet the skin tones came out better than anything a Nikon can do. In any light. It is not just the tone, it is the differences in tone across the face.

So this may just be their general knowledge and not so much the X-Trans sensor.
