One thing I'm seeing is that with the 70-400G the color temperature is shifted towards blue. That's not likely lens but a calibration problem with the camera. Some shift is to be expected due to the difference in exposure between the two shots as well. And it's the camera which is setting the wrong exposure.

Get your exposure visually the same without using PP and I think you will find the story different.

wouldn't the camera shift to blue with both lenses if it was a calibration problem?
