Still struggling with my SSD installation, Help!

I gave up and installed my OS(Win7, 64 bit, P6T MB) on my original Raid 10 on 4 1 T. HDD's! I have three choices on my Intel(R) ICH8R/ICH10R/DO SATA RAID Controller, Raid, IDE, AHCI, which I have set to Raid for my 4 HDD's.

I'm assuming that my SSD needs to be connected to the Jmicron Storage Controller which shows up in my BIOS but has disappeared from my Win 7 OS!

Added to this, it appears to me that the only way I can get my OS to recognize by SSD 840 Pro is to set it to IDE, which of course is not the optimal setting!

I'm really at a loss at where to go from here??
