Nikon D7100 announcement?

Several is infinitely more than the 0 D600 owners I know I don't really care that much what they bring out, if it's significantly better than what i have I'll buy it, if it isn't then I'll save some money and maybe i'll pick up a used D700 which is still a great camera.

I work in manufacturing, i know how the game goes. I'm going to guess that their sales and marketing depts. have done their research, know what their customers want and have designed the products that they think will  be most successful.  I have no idea what Nikon should really do, i don't have access to any of the information they do; i can only say what I would buy and what appears to make sense based on the many camera owners that i know.

Given the choice between a D600 and a D400 for the same price, I'd take the D400 because the rest of the camera is more important to me than the FF sensor.   I'd love the D600 sensor but I don't want the rest of the camera that goes with it.
