My India images were processed with a customized version of a VSCO preset.

Great work! I'm bookmarking you site.

Can you comment on which set (01, 02, or 03) you used when you created the India images?

Could/would you achieve the same results without the presets?

I know it is 'possible' to do so but wonder if is practical to invent the VSCO like results on one's own.

I own all three but the India images were done with 01.

And I probably could've achieved the same results if I'd spent time playing around and experimenting. But at a certain point my time is worth more than the incremental cost. So I'd rather buy these which give me a lot of great options I can quickly play with, try and use, than spend hours trying to recreate them.

I move that VSCO feature your India work on their www site. I have no idea how to make this happen but will chime in if anyone knows how to contact/influence VSCO.

It seems that pro photogs  benefit from these plugins a bunch.

From the demos I've found it seems that the VSCO plugins are also useful as a tool for learning what is possible with LR.
