Nikon D7100 announcement?

I am very curious about the specs of the D7100. Will it be a D7000 upgrade, or will it be the D300s upgrade, or something else? But there is no way I will buy one right away, even if it is a true D300s replacement. Maybe after 6 or 9 months I would begin to consider it. Too many hassles and issues with D800 and D600 early models. It has been saddening to see how some passionate photographers have lost much of that passion while battling with Nikon. I do not want to risk that core of joy and pleasure until I know the D7100 or D400 are worth the risk.

FWIW my current well loved set of Nikons are the D700, D300s, D90, D40 and D3200. All of these are reliable, fun and sing with good glass. Can you blame me for not wanting to jump too soon?
