Yes, it does, but I don't bother with it - I find it easier to switch to manual exposure and find a setting that covers the range of lighting across the subject. I then shoot my series and combine them in Microsoft Ice - freeware software that does a very slick job of combining images and that will accommodate raw, jpeg or tiff files.
