6D N00b Question

A while back, I switched from Canon (T2i) to Sony (A65), and have been quite happy with it. But now I am looking to jump to full frame and eyeing the 6D for its relatively low cost of entry. I am confused about the lens type. Am I to understand that the 6D uses EF mount lenses, the same as its younger Rebel siblings? If that's the case, don't you lose the benefits of a FF sensor? (That is, don't you get cropping?) I only ask as I had considered the Sony Alpha A99, but was told that though the A lens mount was the same, using current Konica/Minolta lenses from my A65 kit would force cropping on the A99. Many thanks in advance for your response!

Ed
