A macro would be nice, but I need the large apertures and don't think there's lot's of f1.4 or even f1.8 macros. Also, 50mm is a bit on the wide side already.
I've got the Sigma 35, but never tested it that close. I tend to doubt it's flat enough field for that sort of work though. Honestly don't have the time for a few weeks to run any tests, so my usefulness to you for this thread isn't muc, so I better leave now before I waste any more of your time. Sorry!
