Perhaps the OP simply hasn't spent enough time with your camera body and your 50mm lenses. It does appear that there are others who don't have your camera body and your 50mm lenses.
I got the same "notion" when I was looking for a new 50mm. A little bit of research turns up quite a few folks with these problems.
