Great conditions today. A wall of mist marched down the bay, engulfing all - then as it cleared, the sun began to break through and pick out details. Mist has always been my fave photography weather, and on the bay, it rarely disappoints as it begins to clear.

Both taken with D300 with 70-200, PS CS5, both are full colour.

I like the broodiness in the first. Very nice. While the second is technically fine, for some reason the first has 'something' extra that catches me.

I slightly favour the second, not least because I'd not previously noted the linear nature of this channel. A look back over recent images shows it far more curved.

These two shots are taken just 2 minutes apart, and maybe only about 15-20° apart, the earlier one being far more direct to the sun's position so far greater dynamic range.

.....Just from an amateur......''Sometimes it's to your advantage for people to think you're crazy.” I am only a hoobyist, I cannot and do not give expert advice, dont expect it, just take it as a suggestion to think about, but only if you wish to. We should try to not wait for life to happen, while it passes us by.
