Take a look at some of the 19th century Japanese woodcuts and prints. With the gradations in the sky you could push this new one a bit for a Japanese look. I've never been to Morecombe but you make the bay seem quite wonderful.

The bay is a wonderful place. The best light is from dawn to mid-day from the north side, which no doubt reverses from the south. But the variety from the various combinations of daytime, tide, seasons, channels and weather are what makes it what it is - especially as a photographic subject.
