One thing often ignored in reviews is that perceived sharpness is a combination of MTF and contrast. PZ only measures MTF, so their numbers sometimes do not correlate with how users rate the sharpness of a lens. The 18-135 is an excellent example of this, as is the 55-300mm. The images are very punchy, which makes the images seem much sharper to users than MTF scores indicate.
