I wasn't sure of your budget, but as the RX100 isn't cheap (insert personal grief here... just this minute got the quote from Sony to repair mine: £228.79, say $360) so I thought I'd throw in a range of options. I'm a big fan of larger sensors (1" and up) as the smaller ones do tend to start falling off a cliff when you get indoors or anywhere dull.
P.S. on the V1 there is always: http://www.stevehuffphoto.com/2012/12/05/the-nikon-18-5-f1-8-cx-lens-review-for-the-1-series-by-craig-litten/ but if you don't want to change lenses it could be a bit limiting.
