14-24 flare question
I do a lot of extreme HDR photography, where flare is a critical issue. I am presently using a Sigma 8-16 DX lens on a D800e. Flare is well controlled, but the lens has definite issues with spherical and other aberrations , and I would love to go FX.
I know that the 14-24 is subject to fairly severe flare when there is a bright point source of light in or just out of frame, but how does it do with diffuse light sources? For example, think about shooting a dark interior with several windows open onto a sunny outside scene. Would I get a lot of diffuse flaring from those non-point sources?
I had a Sigma 10-20 that was weak in that regard: In such a scene I would get "ghost" windows of flare below the real ones. The 8-16 is MUCH better in that regard. Any idea what the 14-24 might do?
Any experiences/observations/comments appreciated.
