This almost certainly means the GH3 is using the same Sony sensor as the E-M5, no?

Yes, it does. I have thought that such was the case all along and the DxO figures confirms it.

How does one then manage to "explain away" that the DxOMark Specifications sections report:

Sensor Photo Detectors: EM5 - 16.11 Mpixels, GH3 - 16.05 Mpixels

Pixel Pitch: EM5 - 3.74 Microns, GH3 - 3.73 Microns

Resolution: EM5 - 4640x3472, GH3 - 4624x3472

Frame Rate: EM5 - 9 FPS, GH3 - 6 FPS

I really see nothing here that needs "explaining away". The two manufacturers chose to employ a few pixels more or less and the difference in pitch may be no more than rounding error. Frame rate depends on quite a few things other than the sensor itself.

OK. Next round, then ("Screen" data: Dynamic Range, Saturation ISO):

EM5 - 10.47, 585 ... GH3 - 10.44, 782

EM5 - 11.48, 296 ... GH3 - 11.35, 394

EM5 - 12.02, 149 ... GH3 - 12.02, 214

EM5 - 12.35, 94 ..... GH3 - 12.30, 107

I think you mixed up some E-M5 data with GH3. GH3 has 12.35 DR at 94 (measured) ISO, not E-M5. See how similar they are that you didn't even notice?

Then for the next round I suggest to bring other camera with the same sensor in the equation, E-PM2 for example.

Click on measurements, then on SNR 18% or Tonal range, you will see charts where E-PM2 deviates from E-M5 more than GH3 deviates from E-M5.

You wouldn't suggest that E-M5 and E-PM2 have different sensors, would you? It's just different sensor tweaking.
Panasonic made base ISO slightly lower, but they effectively lost ISO 25600, it's because the tweaks don't give free lunch.
