That's unfortunate and I understand how you'd feel that way. I have had similar issues with Sony, HP, Xrite, Sage Software, and all manners of big box store reps.
If it was about one of the new products I just listed I'm not surprised. Takes time for product training to filter through large organizations.

I tend to operate in a manner that has me avoiding doing business with someone when those little alarms go off in my head. That so called conversation had those alarms going off.
I just got done chatting with a B&H representative about an NEC P241 WBKSV (SpectraView II software and hardware included) That went much better and the NEC jumped to the top of my list.
