When is 50mm NOT 50mm?

Think what you will, but you are  thinking wrong! 

Can you support your assertion?  Still waiting on the images from blakninja?

Distance perspective is only a function of camera to subject distance.

The crop factor relates field of view of a lens on NEX to FF legacy experience, nothing more.   Perspective comes from the position of the camera relative to subject.

It really doesn't matter what focal length lens is on either camera.  Shoot from the same position and you can overlay the images with only some scaling done to make the subject the same size.
