Maybe I'm not that strong. I did have problems with weight.

I got the Canon 300D with kit lens in 2004 and initially had no problems. Later that year I got the Sigma 18-125 (non-OS) lens. I went on a trip to a national park (Shenandoah) and a conference and visiting friends... a total of three weeks. I was carrying the camera all the time on the neck strap. My neck hurt for the first 3 weeks after that trip.

For me the reduction of size and weight is important and substantial. And the E-M5 with a pancake lens does fit in my coat pocket. It's not a truly pocketable camera but my coat does have a pocket that is big enough and not uncomfortable.
