Sounds like you made a reasoned decision. I came to the opposite conclusion and in the last week I've sold almost all my APS-C gear. To me, the IQ is essentially the same, and I love the prime lens. Main selling point for me, though, was that I got essentially the same quality for a much smaller kit. The only thing I'm missing is longer/faster lenses.

At the end of the day, we all make our decisions. Thanks for listing your opinions.

BTW, I will say that these "goodbye" threads never really work out. It's better just to move along. Obviously people here won't agree with your findings. If they did, they'd wouldn't be here. Just my $0.02 worth...

People hate me because I don't agree with them.  That's pretty much life, especially so on internet forums.   I think if everyone was like minded and had the same opinion the world would be a boring place. I don't thing there is anything wrong with a little contrast.  You can call me a troll, a liar, or whatever - doesn't matter the point is mute, I could say the same thing about anyone else here.  The truth is I posted this tread hoping to spark discussion, hoping to see if anyone else was feeling the same way or maybe hoping someone might offer something valuable  to convince me I haven't thought this already through.  Instead I get the typical defensive responses that represent fanboyism.
