Alternative 70-300L tripod mount ring C, an opinion please!

I bought a 3rd party tripod collar for a 70-200f/4 IS L. I paid £8, white, metal can be removed without removing lens from camera. Solid as a rock from e-bay. Sorry can't remember company, but just saying the cheaper ones are not all rubbish. By the way, Canons own £135.
