Mr Larsen,

Marvellous captures, desite the grue. (One feels for the wee lunch).

As we feed the birds in our lush back garden, a sparrowhawk occasionally comes whistling over the rooftops, along the hedge and down on to the feeder. I must make the effort to capture his antic, although I have only a Canon 1.7X add-on lens to clag to the FZ200.

But your pics are inspiring so I must make the effort. The thing is, it may be a long wait. How did you manage to have the camera set up for your own raptor-visit? Is it a regular (same time each day) or have you just got infinite patience?

SirLataxe, marvelling at the beak & claw of the thing, not to mention it's gimlet eye.

Thanks SirLataxe

I just had the luck yesterday.
Just for fun I made a simple hide in the garden, for shotting low shots of the birds.

After an hour or so, suddenly it happened, and I was on the rigth place at the right time - nice
The simple hide can be seen here - and its not cold at all.
