How you use them are the same. First, at the very top middle of the Faststone Clone/Healing window there are 2 radio buttons to select either clone or heal.

Hold CTRL and click on an area you want to start at as the source.

Clone will replace information for one part of a picture with information from another part (starting at the source where you ctrl-clicked position it will replace what you draw over).

Heal is similar to healing brush in Photoshop where you can do things like get rid of a blemish on a face. You CTRL-Click on a good part of the skin (source) and then click on the blemish and it will heal the skin. The way Photoshop's works is the Healing Brush tool matches the texture, lighting, transparency, and shading of the sampled pixels to the pixels being healed. I would guess Faststone's is similar but a very basic version.
