Some interesting points and reflections. So if Panasonic could make ONE change, it would be to issue regular firmware updates. Sure, people might upgrade less often, but wouldn't loyalty shoot through the roof?

I wonder why they don't. As in what's stopping them?

PanOlyCaNik listen: I would be prepared to pay for a firmware upgrade that help me use the camera better. When buying a new camera I would prefer a brand that issues upgrades. It would make me confident that issues that can be fixed by firmware, will be fixed by firmware. I would not mind paying a reasonable amount of money for that. Firmware updates for serious bugs should of course be for free.
