Cooper's hawk in La Jolla backyard

Last Saturday, I took some photos with my Panasonic FZ150 of the mourning doves we have been feeding.  Later, while reading the days paper,  I looked up and saw a 17" long female Cooper's hawk on a patio chair near the dove food.  Turning the camera back on, and shooting through the window glass, the hawk posed for me a full minute only 12 feet away.
Pete recently posted a couple of photos of a Cooper's hawk in a tree.  I guess the sight of tasty doves is enough to tempt Cooper's hawks out of the forest into town.
