Nikon wu-1b wireless adapter

I bought one of these adapters so I could send pictures from my camera to someone via text message.  It advertises that you can do that but I cant figure it out.  I am running an android device and when it saves the pics it does not save it to the general gallery.  The pictures are saved somewhere else and you can not get to them to send.  My only options are email, and social media.  This is a pretty neat little item to have gotten for free, hopefully I can get it to do what i need.
