Clive - I saw your response on the POTN forum. But I have to say ISO 1600 (your suggestion I believe) is a non-starter for me. Remember - the only real appeal to supersyncing my AB strobes was to be able to shoot outdoors in bright daylight. So... I am better off at ISO 100 1/200th with a bunch of ND filters and a moderate flash power setting than to try to compensate for a 4 stop increase in sensitivity (& noise) and not even have even coverage across the frame. I get the impression my photos do accurately depict the gradient. I have not seen these other photos you mentioned. Got link?
