The D800, D800E and the D4 have ALL the very same AF module.

Indeed D800e and D4 are much less affected (but not completely immune) to the miscalibration issue.

A reliable source told me it would be so when little was still known about the issue. He also explained me why. But he never exposed this reason AFAIK in a public statement, and I won't reproduce that part of his message without his authorization.

But I'll tell you the name of this source: Thom Hogan.

How come that only the D800 gets the bash? Do you want me to buy all the cameras, test them and make a statistical list for you? Get real.

You don't need to buy all the cameras to make statistics. In fact that's the whole point of statistics: to be able to derive probabilities without testing all the outcomes.
