Two Questions for Users of the Panasonic 45-150mm lens

It is not a fast lens, so I try to use it in good light.  It works well as a lens to take to the zoo or outdoor market, that type of thing.  Used it last summer to take pictures of a ceremony on the beach in Mexico and got some great images.  I think it is pretty sharp and a good value.
