It is a bit of an oxymoron to want an inexpensive lens having just bought a full frame camera. A FX camera will require FX lenses for the most part and they are going to cost more than DX ones.

For indoor sports a Dx camera with the Sigma 50-150mm f2.8 is a great setup. Compact and lightweight and the lens now has optical stabilization. With a FX camera I would be using the 80-200 f2.8 or the 24-120mm f4. There is enough light so an f1.8 lens is not needed.

While it is true that you can shoot with a short lens and crop this kills the image quality that was the reason for spending $2k on a camera. A D7000 with the Sigma 50-150mm is going to take better pictures than the D600 and no time spent cropping every picture.
