Jpeg rendering vs RAW

Hi guys,

I'm just wondering if anyone knew what sort of processing the camera does when rendering out jpegs or if it's all black magic?

I shoot in RAW+JPEG and when opening up the RAW sometimes the exposure and colours seem different to the jpeg.  Here's an example:

Camera jpeg

RAW jpeg from IDC with no adjustments

In this case I prefer the camera jpeg but I can't seem to reproduce it in IDC.
