I do it this way all the time. I don't want to be dependent on software from Sony.

I've been trying to follow some of these chains of all the software I'd have to install on my PC and how to get them install, and what process to go through to use it to do this. Why could they just put that in the manual, down file from here, put on card here....
Works for me. Now, does the camera store that data somewhere internally or does it rely on it being in the CD card? (I guess I'll find out soon enough, when I switch cards).
