re: 18-200mm... on a -5n (and probably the -5r) I have to agree. The -5n is so light it is better to carry the camera by the lens with the 18-200mm mounted. That wasn't very natural to me. On the -7 the balance is better thanks to more weight in the camera body. The biggest selling point for me has always been the broad utility of the lens.
re: 1.8/35mm... Yes: Brilliant! Compared to any of my other E-mount lenses, the 1.8/35mm has amazing AF. I would have expected the 1.8/50mm to be similar but it's just not as quick to find focus.
