Leonard, stop it already.  It's a real problem.  You don't need Nikon Approved Targets (TM) to delineate it.  Come up with another argument, please.

To the OP:  I hardly ever use the left AF points - typically, if I'm using AF it's one of the center points.  But it depends on what you shoot and how you shoot.  Judging from the replies here, it seems that maybe 50% of the posters actually are bothered by the problem, the other half not.

It may well affect resale value however.

Of course, I had to go check my cameras (without said Nikon Approved Target (TM).  No real problem.  Furthermore, I've never found the outer AF points on any Nikon body to be terribly accurate.
