PowerShot S95 red spot/dot/pixel ONLY in movie mode

Hi all,

I just received my new (I do mean NEW) PowerShot S95 (230 EUR, Germany). I think I am going to love it.

My SD card will arrive tomorrow, so I hadn't had yet the chance to check images taken.

However, I noticed a rather weird thing. The display shows no dead, or stuck pixels in any of the shooting modes except in Movie mode.

In Movie mode there is a small dead-pixel-like spot on the screen (botton left area), or on the sensor (I have no idea).

I tried checking the other modes in complete darkness, to see if I can see even a tiny dead pixel, but have seen none.

Is this normal with this modell? If not, what can it be? If it only effects movies, I don't mind (as I don't really plan shooting videos with it), but still I find it a bit odd, don't you?

As said, I don't know whether the dot shows up on the images/videos taken, but will check it tomorrow as soon as I can.

Nevertheless, I would be interested in your opinions already now.
