What seems to have leaked out so far is that the FF camera will take 2 kinds of lenses. The first being e-mount, the other FF. This will be done without resorting to a separate adapter.

E mount and A mount lenses have significantly different registration distances, so I cannot see how Sony could mount both without using an adapter. LA-EA4 anyone?

Most likely, such a body will be much better designed to be compatable with A mount lenses than any previous NEX body.

Much in the way I suppose, that a Canon EOS APS-C camera like the Rebel will accommodate both EF and EFS lenses. And Olympus will be doing something similar with a new camera which will adopt both m43 and Four Thirds lenses.

Canon EF and EFS lenses have the SAME registration distance. See here...

Olympus will have the same problem Sony has, in that the original 4/3 mount is not the same distance as the micro43 mount. Like Sony, any such Olympus camera will be designed for full compatability with both lens mounts.

Perhaps they won't use the A-mount lenses, but something new.
