The PL5 allows for a removable, good-quality VF (Olympus VF-2). Some people say it's the best available (similar to OM-D), I use it but would rather have the GH2/3.

My recommendation is based on the following:

The E-PL5 delivers some of the best IQ in the m43 world (same sensor as the OM-D) in the smallest possible package, while also allowing for a EVF to be used when necessary (or at all times if so desired) but also not having it glued to the cameras at all times. Coupled with a pancake prime it is the smallest and I would say highest IQ package you can get at this moment with all of the above AND a tilt screen to allow for waist shots or more flexible framing options. It may have less external controls than the OM-D, but for my kind of shooting (AV / TV / Auto) I can live without them.

Hi, I'm just interesting in your opinion on the PM2.  I don't know what it is, but I guess for the same reason I don't want a pink bookbag (fully functional but it just doesn't make me happy), I want a camera specifically without a flippy touchscreen.  The PM2 solves the no-flip (and I think you can turn the touch off).  But I'm just curious as to why you're mentioning the PL5 and not the PM2.  Thanks!
