VF-2 vs built-in EVF in G5 and G5 opinions

I think title says it almost all. I am interested in comparison between VF-2 and G5 EVF. Currently I own E-PL3 and since I added VF-2 to the kit, I did not remove EVF from a camera. But sometimes I would also like to attach FL-36 flash to the camera, which is naturally impossible if VF-2 is in place. But PEN type body with FL-36 at hand length is far from being enjoyable to hold. So that and better sensor and video support made me think about G5.

On-line I found information that both EVFs are 1.4MPix, but in case of G5 ther is mention of multiplex, whatever that means? Also, I found information that VF-2 has magnification of 1,15 and G5 EVF has magnification of 1,5? If that is true, than G5 has bigger pixels and grainier image?

Also, any opinion about E-PL3 vs G5, beside sensor difference?
