SEL 35F18 review @ Kurt Munger

Kurt Munger very recently reviewed the 35mm; two gripes are that he considers it somewhat soft and the appearance of a (large) amount of axial colour fringing. Compared to his other tests I also found the standard macro shot of a stamp at 5.6 to miss detail compared to the 24mm Zeiss, the 50mm Sony and the 18-55 kit lens. (Maybe someone can chime in with an explanation?)

So SEL35 owners what are your thoughts? (I went on and ordered mine; have some family extensions forthcoming  for which a pairing of this lens with my NEX 7 seems to make good sense to me ).
