Peter's suggestion may make more sense for me.... because I don't like pizzing around with RAW files if I don't have to. The only time I resort to a RAW file if it was badly over/under exposed or if I screwed up badly on my in-camera settings .... which thankfully ... is rare.

Me too. The only time I was forced to use RAW was with the HS10 because the JPEG software was soooooo bad. The other ones had JPEG software with results better than RAW because of the possibility to increase dynamic range.
