Buy the HX20 or wait for newer cameras?

Hi all. I'm new to DPREVIEW. I'm planning to buy the Sony HX20, but it is a camera with almost one year old. On cellphones the time for replacement is about one year. And with cameras? I'm not in a hurry to buy a new camera, so probably I shloud wait for the sucessor of HX20? What are your opinions? Thanks.
